One of the biggest powers RX audio editor has is its ability to select directly on the spectrogram in the time or frequency domain. To zoom in the frequency domain, not the time domain you use the sliding bar on the bottom right of the spectrogram. There is also a grab tool down the bottom next to the empty magnifying glass which looks like a white hand and that will navigate you just as well. You can also click and drag to move around in the waveform. You can adjust the bounds by moving the mouse at the ends of the box, wider or closer together. This is showing you where you are zoomed in on in relation to the whole waveform. Whenever you zoom in you will notice a box appear in the top over a small image of your waveform. The magnifying glass with a square around it zooms in on a selected area, the magnifying glass with arrows allows you to zoom all the way out to view the entire waveform and the empty magnifying glass is the zoom tool which allows you to select an area in the waveform and zoom in or out by holding the option or alt key. They are many tools to help you navigate your way around the spectrogram including zoom in and out buttons or you can alco use command/ctrl to zoom in and command/ctrl to zoom out.
You can also view the traditional waveform of a blend of the both by adjusting the waveform slider just below the spectrogram on the left-hand side. This allows you to vividly see the spectral content of your audio. A spectrogram is a graph that displays time in the X axis, Frequency in the Y axis and amplitude as brightness.
Inside RX your audio file will be displayed as a spectrogram, as the image above displays. This makes it simple to move between the two. To get started, drag a file into the interface or select open from the file menu dropdown, If you select multiple files it will create multiple tabs in RX. This means any timing and tagging information added isn’t lost in the editing process. It does all this while keeping the metadata intact. As well as 5 video formats including, AVI, MPEG, WMV, MPV and M4V. RX 5 can import and convert mono and stereo files from 10 common audio formats including WAV, BWF, AIFF, MP3, WMA, AAX, SD2, OGG, FLAC and CAF. IZatopes RX audio editor is a standalone application or plugin that provides tools for editing and enhancing your audio for film, television, broadcast and more.
